Week-long Summer Theatre Camps!

Exploration and fun are the keywords for YES Theatre’s week-long Summer Theatre Camps! Our camp instructors will lead a series of fun, collaborative activities designed to build imagination, confidence, creative expression and lasting friendships.

2025 Summer Drama Camps

AGES 8 to 12 | $285 (HST included)

This week-long activity introduces campers to the concepts and vocabulary of Drama through co-operative theatre-based games and exercises. Campers will develop an understanding of the principles of dramatic story-telling while engaging in scene work and character work, leading to an informal showcase presentation at week’s end.

Drama Camp 1

GAIA DHATT | Instructor, Drama Camp 1

Gaia has been working with YES Theatre for four years, most recently as ‘The Artful Dodger’ in Oliver!, and as co-director of Jesus Christ Superstar and Peter Pan. Having been a deeply shy child, she credits theatre for breaking her out of her shell and allowing her love for the arts to blossom. She can’t wait to work with so many curious, lovely kids who are excited to dive into the wonderful world of theatre!

Drama Camp 2 - SOLD OUT

*Students may register for only one of the two drama camp sessions, not both

EMMANUELA VAN ALLEN | Instructor, Drama Camp 2

Emmanuela is a Sudbury-born artist and graduate of Toronto’s George Brown Theatre School. She has performed in four seasons with YES Theatre, most recently appearing as Sowerberry in Oliver!. Emmanuela began teaching and directing youth theatre classes around Sudbury at the age of 16 and quickly discovered a deep passion for arts education. Having first found her love for theatre at a camp when she was 8, she’s proud to give back to the community that shaped her and is committed to inspiring the next generation of artists. She’s thrilled to be leading one of the summer camps—and you can also catch her back on stage with YES this summer!

Summer Musical Theatre Camp

AGES 8 to 12 | $285 (HST included) – SOLD OUT

Working in a collaborative and creative atmosphere, students will expand their performance skills in acting, voice, and movement, while further developing their knowledge of the various backstage aspects of putting on a theatrical production. Participants will share what they’ve learned as part of an informal showcase presentation at the end of the week.

KAILIN KOHLS | Instructor

Kailin is excited to welcome students to this year’s Musical Theatre Camp!
