Exploration and fun are the keywords for YES Theatre’s week-long Summer Theatre Camps! Our camp instructors will lead a series of fun, collaborative activities designed to build imagination, confidence, creative expression and lasting friendships.
*Students may register for only one of the two drama camp sessions, not both
AGES 8 to 12 | $285 (HST included)
This week-long activity introduces campers to the concepts and vocabulary of Drama through co-operative theatre-based games and exercises. Campers will develop an understanding of the principles of dramatic story-telling while engaging in scene work and character work, leading to an informal showcase presentation at week’s end.
EMMANEULA VAN ALLEN | Instructor
Emmanuela is a Sudbury-born artist and graduate of Toronto’s George Brown Theatre School. She has performed in four seasons with YES Theatre, most recently appearing as Sowerberry in Oliver!. Emmanuela began teaching and directing youth theatre classes around Sudbury at the age of 16 and quickly discovered a deep passion for arts education. Having first found her love for theatre at a camp when she was 8, she’s proud to give back to the community that shaped her and is committed to inspiring the next generation of artists. She’s thrilled to be leading one of the summer camps—and you can also catch her back on stage with YES this summer!

Working in a collaborative and creative atmosphere, students will expand their performance skills in acting, voice, and movement, while further developing their knowledge of the various backstage aspects of putting on a theatrical production. Participants will share what they’ve learned as part of an informal showcase presentation at the end of the week.
TRINITY THIBEAULT | Instructor
Trinity is an actor and musician based in Sudbury. She trained at George Brown Theatre School in Toronto and Is now back home to immerse herself in this city’s vibrant arts scene. YES Theatre has been a creative home for her, with credits including Ride The Cyclone (Ocean), Romeo and Juliet (Benvolio), Here Comes the Sun: Music of The Beatles, and Peter Pan (Tinkerbell). Trinity is passionate about inspiring young artists and fostering a space for creativity and freedom. She is excited to bring her experience and energy to this year’s Summer Drama Camp!

Space is limited to 20 campers per week – registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students may register for one of the Drama Camps and the Musical Theatre Camp if they wish, but may not register for both Drama Camps.
A link to our online payment system will be emailed to parents approximately one week before each camp begins. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
