Young Company

Discover. Develop. Play. Perform.

The Young Company has a legacy of training and building the next generation of great theatre artists in our community.

This is an audition only program that gives participants an incredible experience diving into the world of professional theatre. Youth Artists will work with core YES Theatre company members to mount a full scale production that culminates in performances for schools and the public.  They will learn the key skills and tools to become professionals in all areas of the craft including on and off stage positions.

Young Company

For Students In Grade 7 and Older

The Young Company engages students in the process of creating a major theatrical production, culminating in a series of performances for parents and the community.

This program encourages participants to develop their performance abilities in acting, voice, and movement, and contribute to the creation of props, sets, and costumes. Recent productions include CHOIR!, One Small Step, The Magic Pebble, Mining Rocks!, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan.

2026 PRODUCTION – HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

SCHEDULE

The Young Company rehearsal schedule has been expanded to run from November 23 to early March. Production dates are March 5 to 12.
